Zinc PCA, also known as Zinc Pyrrolidonecarboxylate, is the product of combining the element Zinc with the natural moisturizing factor Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid (PCA). PCA is an important component of the skin’s inherent Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). Zinc PCA not only possesses the zinc element’s effect of inhibiting excessive sebum secretion and antibacterial/antioxidant properties, but also functions to maintain moisture in the stratum corneum and protect barrier health due to its PCA content, making it very suitable for oily skin. Zinc PCA is widely used in skincare products due to its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and sebum-regulating properties, especially in anti-acne creams, oil-control lotions, facial cleansers, and anti-dandruff shampoos.

 

Product Characteristics

  • Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory:Zinc PCA can inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as Propionibacterium acnes, reduce skin inflammatory reactions, and assist in improving acne and redness issues.
  • Oil Control:By inhibiting 5α-reductase activity, it regulates sebaceous gland activity, reduces excessive oil secretion, and improves oily skin or acne problems.
  • Moisturizing and Purifying:As a Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), PCA helps the stratum corneum lock in moisture, maintaining skin softness and smoothness.
  • Promotes Wound Healing:Zinc PCA can stimulate epithelial cell regeneration and accelerate the healing of small wounds after minor abrasions or acne extraction.

Applications

Widely used in oil-control lotions, acne essences, or shampoos:

  • In oil-control products, Zinc PCA can synergize with Vitamin B6 to enhance the sebum-regulating effect.
  • In acne products, the antibacterial properties of Zinc PCA complement the keratin-regulating effects of acid ingredients, but attention should be paid to potential cumulative irritation.
  • In anti-aging products, Zinc itself has antioxidant properties, and when combined with ingredients like Vitamin C and E, it can improve the overall anti-aging effect.

Packaging and Storage

  • Packaging:This product is packaged in 25kg paper drums.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. The storage temperature should ideally not exceed 30°C. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Packaging must be sealed. It should be stored separately from combustibles (flammable materials) and strong oxidizing agents; strictly avoid mixed storage. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to contain leaks. Check all labels in real-time to ensure they are clear and there are no leaks. Shelf life is two years.
